Description

Stationär hjulrengörare för skrivbordet, arbetsbänken m.m., för alla H0-rälssystem AC och DC, analog.

Available as built-in or tabletop device
Cleans driven and non-driven wheels of rail-bound model railway vehicles
Removes oil and dirt residues on the wheels

... and you can achieve:

Clean wheel treads of the locomotives and wagons
De-oiled traction tires
Functional reliability of the model railway vehicles

The H0 wheel cleaning system for all model railway systems, which is supplied with driving voltage (analog and digital) and is therefore passable, cleans driven and non-driven wheels of rail-bound model railway vehicles from oil and dirt residues. The device is equally suitable for locomotives and wagons and can be integrated into model railway wagons by complete trains.

The wheel cleaning technology, driven by a 12 volt DC motor (Faulhaber¹), causes two brass rods covered with polishing material to oscillate under the locomotive and wagon wheel. This results in a cleaning effect on the wheel running surface of locomotives and wagons. The wheel tread, which rolls off the 250 mm long cleaning strip, is completely cleaned even with larger wheel diameters.

Due to the oscillating movement of the cleaning strips, the initially stationary locomotive sinks under its own weight into the felt covering. When a low voltage is fed in, the wheels turn when the locomotive is stationary. Non-driven wheels (e.g. wagon wheels) are cleaned by rolling the wheel running surfaces (movement) on the oscillating polishing material. To do this, the car is moved manually or by the pulling or pushing locomotive. There is no need for time-consuming manual cleaning of the wheel running surfaces. Your locomotives and wagons get clean wheel treads, which enables optimal power consumption between rail and wheel.

The wheel cleaning technology (polishing rods), which is driven eccentrically and at high frequency at 12 volts (DC), can optionally be covered with self-adhesive felt or emery cloth (depending on how dirty the wheel surfaces are). In the case of particularly stubborn dirt, the felt strips (Art. No. 9307) can be moistened with a fat-dissolving substance. Emery cloth (Item No. 9308) should not be used in conjunction with adhesive strips. To change the wheel cleaning strips, the brass support profiles (item no. 9302) can be removed from the system and the cleaning strips can be removed and reassigned.

The motor (Faulhaber1) of the wheel cleaning system is operated with a regulated direct voltage of 0-12 volts (DC). Provide an appropriate supply voltage

Commercially available model railway transformers (note the technical details of the transformer). With the adapter board, item no. 9304, which we offer, a direct voltage is generated from an alternating voltage.

The wheel cleaning system is supplied with a system-compatible decoder (can also be retrofitted) for digital control. Control-specific decoders (possibly at an additional cost) can be installed as requested. Please specify when ordering.

The cleaning surfaces are identical on the tabletop and built-in device. While the built-in device is being integrated into the system, we will deliver the tabletop device ready for use.

The wheel cleaning system for installation should be installed in an easily accessible place, if possible in a siding of the model railway system. For the installation, a rectangular section of the route board of length 300 mm / width 40 mm and height 50 mm (from the top edge of the route board) is required.
