With flight LH2020 on October 31, 2020, Lufthansa celebrated the opening of the new Berlin airport, named for Willy Brandt, the former mayor of (West) Berlin and later also (West German) chancellor. For the special occasion, this A320neo aircraft was renamed Neubrandenburg and also received a special branding as Hauptstadtflieger (roughly translating to capitals plane) , continuing the tradition of applying special titles such as Fanhansa or Siegerflieger, as used during the soccer world cup a few years ago.
