Function:
The MLR-1 insert removes stuck oil and dirt residues, deposits from traction tire abrasion and oxide layers on the point contacts when installed in one of the above-mentioned cars.
The functional reliability of the model railway vehicles, a safe power supply from the central conductor and a trouble-free digital operation can thus be significantly improved. Particularly inaccessible areas such as tunnels, shadow stations and track systems spanned by catenaries can be cleaned without any problems.
Operating note:
The heart of the MLR-1 is the oscillating sanding pad fixed in a bogie. The cleaning technology is driven by a durable and maintenance-free bell armature motor (Faulhaber1).
The different cleaning strips (item no. 9049 + 9050) guarantee an optimal cleaning effect at point contact with the lowest possible static friction. The cleaning strips, saturated with dirt, must be replaced.
The encapsulated drive is optimally protected against contamination. The drive block is placed together with a support plate in a carriage chassis and held by this (see sketch).
