The Doka the favourite among landscape care professionals

This is what made the Doka crew cab of the VW T3 so popular - especially with landscaping professionals: the Bulli combined a spacious cab with a compact load area with tarp. No wonder then that grass green was especially sought-after and could be ordered directly from Volkswagen. WIKING had plans for a model of this third-generation transporter even at the time when the original was still in production. However, the realisation of the Doka crew cab was eventually abandoned back then and relegated to the archives as a prototype. Only the box van and the bus version found their way into the hands of collectors in the 1980s. Representing the third generation of the VW transporter, the VW T3 was a common sight on the roads of both Germany and Europe. Produced between 1979 and 1992, the T3 also constituted the last transporter series that came with a rear engine and rear-wheel drive, a feature that is responsible for the originals status as a classic in the Bulli chronology.
