When VW set out to conquer the world with the T1, good customer service was an essential part of Volkswagen's principle of good practice. This focus was supposed to be immediately apparent to anyone laying eyes on a VW service vehicle that was out on a call. Particularly noticeable and frequently utilised by Wolfsburg's advertising graphic designers: The little VW man”, whose head formed the VW logo. WIKING used original templates to miniaturise the transporter and recreated it from a contemporary VW customer service prototype."

VW success story with good customer service from the get-go
Upper and lower part of the box van in pigeon blue. Inserted transparent orange warning light. Base yellow orange. Interior pebble grey, front headlamps transparent, inserted red transparent tail lights. Inserted black steering wheel. White bumpers inserted at the front and the rear. Black chassis and white hubcaps with VW logo. Bumpers with red diagonal warning stripes, VW nose with ornamental strips tapering off on the side, and roof surface likewise imprinted orange. “Little VW man” in black and white on the side with lettering “Schnell zur Stelle” (Quickly on hand”) and “VW-Kundendienst” (VW Customer Service). Rear also with white lettering “VW-Kundendienst” and “little VW man” in black and white.
