Polacca Venetian Cargo Ship 1750

The Polacca appeared on the Mediterranean Sea at the beginning of the XVIII entury and it was used either as escort ship or merchant or cargo. The venetian fleet on the Adriatic Sea employed the Polacca to protect the shipping routes of Venice from the Dalmatian, Greek and Turkish pirates.
